Teal yarn purse

Now I am trying to make a purse out of the free teal yarn I got at the stash sale with a rim of lilac eyelash I bought for $1. I think it might be cute.

Beaded Purse

I finished my beaded purse last night. It is really cool.

I also started making a teal purse with lilac eyelash. I don't know how it will work out.

New Job

On Saturday I start my new part-time job at the Yarn Shop and More in Old Overland Park. Last Thursday night I went in for an interview and they hired me. I will also get a discount which will be nice ;)

Yarn Shop and More Opening

Last night after work I went to check out the new yarn store in old Overland Park. It is called "Yarn Shop and More." I really like the set up. It is organized by color and there are 3 different knitting areas for people to knit and chat. It is a really cool set up, but I also love the Knitwit in Olathe. I hope this doesn't hurt their business. Both stores are great.

Sarah Bernhardt Bag

Last night I worked on my Sarah Bernhardt beaded purse. I am almost at the halfway point. I like this project and the knitting with beads, but I don't like stringing the beads. The beautiful purple/blue beads come pre-strung on white cotton string, but I am knitting with a black cotton. The beads need to be re-strung from one to the other. I keep making bead messes. Also, stopping to string more beads breaks up my fun knitting time. I am using a plastic blue loop to string the beads; there must be a better way! But I do like the progress and the look of the bead knitting. This is going to be an awesome purse!

Last night I got about 1cm done while watching Arsenic and Old Lace with Nana and Papa.
